How to Contact Transport for Wales

Concessionary Travel Card

Thank you for visiting us to renew your bus pass on our new Concessionary Travel Card site.

We’re experiencing exceptionally high volumes of hits to the site. Due to these high volumes, we know that some of you are experiencing problems in accessing it, and we apologise for this. To help with this, we’ve taken down the new online application form so that we can boost the capacity to better manage the very high volumes.

There's plenty of time to apply, so we urge you to come back to us in the next few days. Your current pass is still valid and will continue to be accepted for travel until 31 December 2019.

You can email us travelcards@tfw.wales or call the help line on 0300 303 4240 to find out where local help is available with the application process. You can also request a paper copy of the application via this email/number.

Please bear with us – we’ll be back up and running shortly.

Thank you for your patience.

The new-style Concessionary Travel Card will replace you current green coloured bus pass already issued to you by your council. Your current pass will be accepted until 31 December 2019.

The Concessionary Travel scheme is still owned by your local council. Transport for Wales is managing the reissue of the new-style cards across Wales on behalf of Welsh Government and local councils.

The quickest and easiest way to apply is by visiting www.tfw.wales/travelcards. You can apply yourself or ask a friend, family member or someone you trust to apply online on your behalf.

There are Questions and Answers available here or if you’ve any further questions you can call our bilingual help centre at PTI Cymru on 0300 303 4240 or email us at travelcards@tfw.wales
